As a key digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI) will play a crucial role in the future competitiveness of many businesses.

Despite the many new possibilities and opportunities associated with using AI, the risks and dangers of its misuse should not go unnoticed. The EU Artificial Intelligence Act is therefore an important step in the right direction with its aim of establishing an EU-wide legal framework for AI with a cross-sectoral regulatory approach. The regulation has already reached an advance stage in the legislative process and is expected to enter into force in 2024.
