kanzleimonitor.de 2018/2019: GSK Stockmann was recognized again as one of the leading corporate law firms in Germany – among the top three in the real estate sector

GSK Stockmann again received good and very good recommendations in the current 2018/2019 issue of “kanzleimonitor.de” handbook, a publication issued in cooperation with the Federal Association of In-House Lawyers (BUJ) and the Unternehmensjurist (“in-house lawyer”) Magazine.

In the overall ranking of kanzleimonitor 2018/2019, GSK was again recognized as one of the 40 leading law firms in Germany (according to the total number of recommendations and according to the number of companies that recommended GSK). Regarding recommendations by legal departments of SDAX companies, the firm was able to improve its standing compared to last year’s from rank eight to five.
In the real estate sector, GSK Stockmann entered the top three for the first time. Ranking third in real estate & building law (incl. project development, property and building law, tendering and contract regulations as well as landlord and tenant law), ranking fifth in public building law (incl. public construction planning law, regional planning law and licensing law) and with a ninth rank in banking law, GSK Stockmann is established as one of the leading corporate law firms in Germany.

Additionally, the firm was recommended for the first time in the legal fields of litigation & ADR and in environmental law. In capital market law and in contract law, GSK was able to confirm its recommendations from the previous year. Two GSK Partners were even recommended more than once: Mr. Lars Bollensen (real estate and building law) and Dr. Markus Escher (banking law).

For this recently published survey, kanzleimonitor again interviewed in-house lawyers in all of Germany on their preferences and recommendations for working with external law firms in the different fields of law. In total, in-house lawyers from 931 companies submitted recommendations for German and international law firms in the different fields of law.
