Juve handbook on corporate law firms 2018/2019: GSK Stockmann awarded top ranking as law firm in project development

The leading reference guide for legal services in Germany, Juve handbook corporate law firms 2018/2019 (Juve Handbuch Wirtschaftskanzleien) published its current rankings. GSK Stockmann was once again able to achieve excellent standings in many fields of law and sectors and improved again compared to the previous year’s results.

As measured by turnover, GSK Stockmann remains among Germany's leading law firms, moving up from rank 30 to 28.

Juve once again acknowledged the GSK consultancy services in the real estate sector: the project development practice was awarded five stars and ranked as one of the top three law firms in tier 1. In real estate law, GSK Stockmann also improved its standing and is now among the eight best firms in Germany. In building law, GSK Stockmann made the top ten.

For the first time, Juve also surveyed the notaries but did not rank them. The GSK notary’s offices in Berlin and Frankfurt are among the 31 notaries mentioned.

In banking/supervisory law, GSK joined the group of the best 13; in the investment funds/asset management sector, GSK even made the top ten.

In the competence fields dispute resolution (commerce, liability and arbitration proceedings), procurement law and in private equity transactions (mid-cap) as well as in venture capital consultancy, GSK Stockmann was included in the ranking for the first time. In corporate law, M&A as well as in environmental and planning law, GSK was able to defend last year’s ranking.

The law firms are selected after comprehensive research done by the Juve editors. The selection is subjective in two regards: The propositions from the sources are subjective and reflect their experiences and assessments. The Juve editors then also analyze the results while taking into consideration their own knowledge of the market. As a publisher, it is not Juve’s intention to present a universal or objectively verifiable evaluation. It is possible that other researching methods will yield different results.
