GSK STOCKMANN + KOLLEGEN strengthens its Public Sector Focus with federation’s president Dr. Jürgen Heyer as Of Counsel

Dr. Jürgen Heyer, President of the German Federation of Housing, Urban Development and Regional Planning and former Minister of Building and Transport in Saxony-Anhalt joins the Berlin office of GSK STOCKMANN + KOLLEGEN as Of Counsel effective 1 May 2015. GSK thus continues focusing on the public sector and growth of their Berlin office.

Following a career in justice and administration Dr. Jürgen Heyer became a member of the Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt and was Minister of Building and Transport from 1994 to 2002. Since 2012 Dr. Heyer is the President of the German Federation of Housing, Urban Development and Regional Planning and works as an independent consultant and lawyer. Based on his former activities Dr. Heyer has an excellent network in politics and administration and profound market knowledge in the area of housing, real estate, transport and infrastructure.

With the addition of Dr. Heyer GSK Stockmann + Kollegen further expands its renowned practice advising complex projects for the public sector as well as for public private partnerships.

The Arrival of Dr. Heyer marks GSK’s further expansion of its public sector practice. In mid-2014 Dr. Jan Hennig, an associate partner previously with Gleiss Lutz, joined the GSK Berlin office as Equity Partner. With Dr. Heyer the Public Sector-Team now comprises 18 professionals.
