GSK announce again Local Partners from their own ranks in Banking, Real Estate and Public Business Law

Also in 2014, GSK Stockmann + Kollegen are continuing their organic growth with local partners from their own ranks: Daniela Eschenlohr and Sebastian Wintzer (both Banking), Stefan J. Schlapka (Real Estate), and Dr. Henrik Kirchhoff (Public Business Law) were promoted to local partners effective as of January 1, 2014.

Daniela Eschenlohr was admitted to practice in 2007 und has been practicing at GSK in the areas of banking and banking regulatory law since 2008. She advises banks, payment institutions and financial services institutions as well as businesses in the real economy regarding banking regulatory issues. She focuses especially on the applicability of the Banking Act, the Payment Services Oversight Act and the implementation of new requirements, for example in connection with the transition to SEPA or the implementation of the requirements of EMIR. Further, Ms. Eschenlohr specializes in advising capital management companies regarding the new requirements based on the AIFM regulation.

Sebastian Wintzer was admitted to practice in 2006. He joined GSK’s Banking team in 2009. Before that he worked for a major international law firm in the area of acquisition finance. Working out of the Munich office, Mr. Wintzer advises his clients mainly in the areas of banking regulatory law and securities law with a focus on financial services and issues of (securities) compliance. Among other things, he advises banks and financial services institutions in connection with permit and owner control procedures with BaFin as well as the implementation of (new) regulatory requirements in the institution. Further, Mr. Wintzer advises capital management companies of open and closed funds regarding issues of supervision of the KVG and the distribution of fund products (fund structuring, prospectuses, etc.).

Stefan J. Schlapka who was admitted to practice in 2005, joined the firm’s real estate team in Munich in 2012. Following many years as inhouse counsel and most recently as chief counsel in the legal department of the central German office of a major European hotel group, Mr. Schlapka provides real estate business law advice, especially regarding transactions and commercial leasing law. He focuses in particular on hotel operator agreements, especially hotel lease agreements, franchise, management and hybrid agreements.

Dr. Henrik Kirchhoff was admitted to practice in 2006 and joined GSK Stockmann + Kollegen in 2011 as a lateral hire. He advises investors and project developers as well as governmental entities regarding all issues of real estate business law, especially in connection with project developments and as adviser in purchase or sales transactions. He focuses on public law and the general real estate business law. Mr. Kirchhoff provides advice in particular in the area of public building and planning law as well as environmental law.
