Construction specialist Jan-Bertram Hillig switches to GSK Stockmann

GSK Stockmann reinforces its Projects and Dispute Resolution team with an internationally experienced lawyer: Jan-Bertram Hillig (PhD), aged 47, is switching to GSK Stockmann from the dispute resolution shop at Bodenheimer Herzberg.

As a lawyer and English solicitor, Dr. Jan-Bertram Hillig specializes in international construction and plant engineering projects. He advises foreign clients who are building in Germany (inbound) as well as clients who build abroad (outbound). He has many years of experience with contracts in accordance with international standards (such as FIDIC). Dr. Jan-Bertram Hillig's practice includes both advice during construction and in arbitration proceedings. He regularly advises the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning on construction projects abroad. Another focus of his are international supply contracts. At GSK Stockmann, Dr. Jan-Bertram Hillig is going to support the Projects & Public Sector Area, a national and international team led by Ms. Oda Wedemeyer (PhD). With him, the practice group Dispute Resolution led by Mr. Justus Jansen (PhD) is also growing.

Jan-Bertram Hillig has been co-head of the International Construction Law Working Group of the Working Group for Building Law within the German Lawyers Association (DAV) since 2015. He earned his doctorate in comparative German-English building contract law and is a lecturer at universities in Germany and abroad. Before joining GSK Stockmann, Jan-Bertram Hillig worked for Bodenheimer Herzberg in Berlin.
