GSK Stockmann provided comprehensive legal counsel to the Swiss private equity investment company Lakeward Real Estate AG on this sale in collaboration with the Swiss law firm MLL Meyerlustenberger Lachenal Froriep.
The portfolio consists of 142 residential units on Klara-Franke-Str., located in the central Berlin district of Mitte and having some 10,910 m² of rental area. It encompasses five buildings and is part of the premium class urban quarter “Mittenmang”. The quarter was completed just three years ago in the immediate vicinity of Berlin Central Station and Europacity Berlin, an extensive new office and residential development. This portfolio has full occupancy and also includes an office unit with around 80 m² of rental area as well as 70 parking spaces. The dwelling area in just under half of the apartments is between 40 and 60 m², while one-third are sized between 90 and 108 m² in order to be attractive for families.
CBRE Investment Management acquired the portfolio for a direct international client.
