GSK Stockmann has advised the Berlin-based start-up MVP Factory GmbH on its joint venture studio with DB Schenker which aims to help founders of logistics companies tap into new potential.
DB Schenker has launched a new unit, Schenker Ventures, to drive innovation in logistics through collaboration with entrepreneurs. Schenker Ventures has teamed up with the Berlin agency MVP Factory to launch a venture studio which combines entrepreneurial flexibility with the strength of an established global partner.
The new venture studio enables founders of logistics companies to help drive the profound transformation which is taking place in the logistics industry. While each company represents its own ideas, there is also the opportunity to draw on concepts which Schenker Ventures and MVP Factory have developed conjointly. Selected founders will receive all of the resources they need to launch a successful business, including capital, mentoring, and expertise. Schenker Ventures will also bundle and expand DB Schenker’s existing corporate venture activities and associated investments.
GSK Stockmann has provided comprehensive legal advice to MVP Factory with a team led by Thomas Derlin in Berlin. This advice covered the complex cooperation agreement with DB Schenker as well as numerous other related agreements under corporate law, transaction law, and employment law, including the negotiations with DB Schenker.
