GSK Stockmann advises Princeville Climate Technology on financing round for solar start-up Enpal

GSK Stockmann provided comprehensive legal advice to tech investor Princeville Climate Technology in connection with a financing round for Berlin-based solar start-up Enpal.

Enpal GmbH is a young company that rents out solar systems to private homeowners with the aim of contributing to the energy transition by combining solar power with a rental model. Enpal has already brokered 27,000 solar solutions. The company was founded in 2017 by Mario Kohle, who had previously successfully set up the brokerage platform käuferportal.

As part of the current financing round with a total volume of 215 million euros, Princeville Climate Technology has increased its investment in Enpal.

GSK Stockmann advised Princeville with a team led by Berlin partner Dr Katy Ritzmann on all legal aspects of the financing. In doing so, the firm was able to contribute its expertise in the sector groups of funds, financial services and the energy industry, as well as its special competences in VC/PE and technology advice and on sustainable finance issues, and to draw on its many years of experience in providing equity financing advice to both investors and young companies and their founders.

GSK Stockmann advised its long-standing client Princeville Climate Technology on its first investment in Enpal back in 2020. Subsequently, the firm also advised Princeville Climate Technology in 2021 in the context of a €150 million investment by Softbank in Enpal.
