GSK Stockmann advises Italian Wiit S.p.A. on further acquisition in Germany

A team led by our partner Jens Uwe Rügenhagen advised Milan-based Wiit S.p.A. on the acquisition of 100 percent of the shares in Lansol Datacenter GmbH in Limburgerhof.

Wiit is one of Europe’s leading providers in the enterprise cloud computing services market and focuses on delivering continuous hybrid cloud and hosted private cloud services for critical applications. Wiit is listed on the Euronext STAR Milan stock exchange segment of Euronext Milan (Borsa Italiana). GSK Stockmann already advised Wiit on the acquisition of the Release 42 Group in October 2021, following two previous transactions Wiit carried out in Germany. For the acquisition of Lansol Wiit´s German subsidiary MyLoc managed IT AG acted as the purchaser. The deal further strengthens Wiit´s position in Germany, a market that currently accounts for more than 50% of the Group’s turnover and margin, and constitutes a further significant advancement of the Cloud4Europe project initiated by Wiit in line with its growth strategies.

Lansol Datacenter is active in the private cloud and PaaS (platform as a service) sector through its subsidiary Lansol GmbH. The Lansol Group is a leading provider for the German tax and accounting industry with more than 600 active clients.

GSK Stockmann provided Wiit and MyLoc with comprehensive advice on the transaction with a team led by partner Jens Uwe Rügenhagen. As already in the past the GSK Stockmann team collaborated with Wiit’s Italian legal counsel, Pedersoli Studio Legale.
