GSK Stockmann advises Isar Klinik Immobilien GmbH on property sale and land division

GSK Stockmann advised Munich-based Isar Klinik Immobilien GmbH on the land division and sale of an office property in the centre of Munich to CDC Investissement Immobilier and the FOM Real Estate Group.

The seller, Isar Klinik Immobilien GmbH – part of the Isarklinikum, a renowned, privately owned hospital in Munich – is relinquishing a smaller part of the building it owns. The building, which has a gross floor area of around 4,500 square metres, dates back to the 1950s and is located at Sonnenstrasse 24 in Munich’s city centre, between Karlsplatz (Stachus) and Sendlinger Tor.

The buyers are the Paris-based CDC Investissement Immobilier, acting on behalf of the French Caisse des Dépôts, and the FOM Real Estate Group based in Heidelberg. The buyers have acquired the property as part of a joint venture and are planning to carry out comprehensive revitalisation and expansion work as part of a “manage-to-ESG” approach.

A GSK Stockmann team led by Munich-based real estate partner Monique Franke advised the seller on the land partition on which the sale was based as well as on the sale negotiations themselves.
