Since 01 November 2009, GSK Stockmann + Kollegen has an office in Singapore (GSK Stockmannn (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.). GSK has recruited Dr. Rüdiger Ackermann, who has been working in Singapore for more than 10 years, representing mainly German and Swiss companies in Asia.
The new office will act as a contact point for the increasing number of Asian companies with interests in Europe, particularly in Germany. But Singapore plays also a key role, because the city-state, due to its geographical location, its historically developed status and its excellent infrastructure, is the first contact point for European companies with interests in Asia.
The new Singapore office will comprehensively look after clients' interests in the region. In this regard, the main focus of the Singapore office will be to provide support in legal matters. GSK is also in a position to offer supplementary accounting and administrative services via a cooperating service company. This will allow in particular small- and medium-sized companies to engage in business activities in Asia at a reasonable cost and with low manpower requirements.
